THE DUA OF DAILY PROTECTION

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
Bismillah ar-Rahmān ar-Rahīm
In the name of Allah, the Most-Merciful, the Ever-Merciful
اَلْحَمْدُ لِلَّه رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينْ إِنَّا لِلَّهِ وَ إِنَّا إِلَيْهِ
رَاجِعُونَ
Al-Hamdu li'llahi Rabbi-l 'ālamīn. Innā li'llahi wa Innā ilayhi rāji'ūn.
All praise is for Allah the Lord of the worlds! To Allah we belong and
to Him we return!
وَ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ وَ الصَّلاَةُ وَ السَّلاَمُ
عَلَى سَيِّدِ الْمُرْسَلِينَ
Wa-l Hamdu li'llahi Rabbi-l 'ālamīn. Wa salātu wa salām 'alā sayyidi-l mursalīn
All praise
is for Allah the Lord of the worlds!
And
Blessings & Salutations upon the Chief of the Messengers
وَ عَلَى آلِهِ الْهُدَاةِ الْمُهْتَدِينَ حَقَّ قَدْرِهِ وَ مِقْدَارِهِ
الْعَظِيمِ
wa 'alā ālihi-l hudāti-l muhtadīn haqqa qadrihi wa miqdārihi-l azeem.
And upon his guiding & guided family, in accordance with his rank
& immense value!
اَللَّهُمَّ إِنَّا نَسْأَلُكَ بِلِسَانِ
افْتِقَارِ جَمِيعِ وُجُودِكَ إِلَى رَحْمَتِكَ
Allahumma innā nas'aluka bi-lisāni iftiqāri jamee'i wujūdika ilā rahmatika.
O Allah! We beseech you with the tongue of universal need for Your mercy
فَإِنَّا الْفُقَرَاءُ إِلَيْكَ فِي كُلِّ الْأَحْوَالِ حَتَّى فِي
رَحْمَتِكَ إِلَى رَحْمَتِكَ
Fa-Innā'l fuqarā'u ilayka fī kulli-l ahwāli hattā fī rahmatika ilā rahmatika.
For we need You in all our circumstances! And we need Your mercy even in
Your mercy!
فَإِنَّا الضُّعَفَاءُ الْفُقَرَاءُ الْأَذِلَّةُ الْعَجَزَةُ الْوَكَلَةُ
الْجُبَنَاءُ
Fa Innā-d du'afā'u-l Fuqarā'u-l adhillatu-l 'ajazatu-l wakalatu-l jubanā'u
For we are the weak, needy, humble, helpless, reliant and cowardly!
وَ أَنْتَ الْقَوِيُّ الْغَنِيُّ الْعَزِيزُ الْقَادِرُ الْكَافِي
الْجَبَّارُ الصَّبُورُ
wa Anta-l Qawiyyu-l Ghaniyyu-l 'Azeezu-l Qādiru-l Kāfī-l Jabbāru-s Sabūru.
And You
are the all-Powerful, the Self-Sufficient, the Glorious
the
All-Able, the Sufficer, the Restorer, the most Restrained!
إِلْتَجَأْنَا إِلَيْكَ
خَائِفِيْنَ رَاجِيْنَ طَامِعِيْنَ
iltaja'nā ilayka khā'ifīna rājeena tāmi'een.
We have sought refuge in You! Fearing, hoping & seeking (from You)!
فَأَمِّنِ الْخَوْفَ وَ حَقِّقِ الرَّجَاءَ عَاجِلاً وَ آجِلاً
Fa ammini-l khaufa wa haqiqi-r rajā'a 'ājilān wa ājilān.
So remove (our) fear and fulfil (our) hope! Now and in the future!
اَللَّهُمَّ إِنَّا نَسْأَلُكَ خَيْرَ كُلِّ مَا أَرْسَلْتَ إِلَى
الْوُجُودِ وَ خَيْرَ كُلِّ مَا أُرْسَلَ بِهِ
Allahumma innā nas'aluka khayra kulli mā arsalta ilā-l wujūdi wa khayra kulli mā ursila bihi.
O Allah!
We seek from You all the goodness You sent to the Universe!
And all
the goodness it was sent for!
وَ نَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّ كُلِّ مَا أَرْسَلْتَ إِلَيْهِ وَ شَرِّ كُلِّ
مَا أُرْسِلَ بِهِ
wa na'ūdhu bika min sharri kulli mā arsalta ilayhi wa sharri kulli mā ursila bihi.
And we seek
Your refuge from all the evil sent to the Universe
And all
the evil it was sent for!
اَللَّهُمَّ قَدْ سَقَيْتَنَا الْمَطَرَ فَاجْعَلْهُ صَيِّبًا نَافِعًا وَ بَارِكْ
لَنَا فِيْهِ
Allahumma qad saqaytanā-l matara fāj'alhu sayyibān nāfi'ān wa bārik lanā feehi
O Allah! You sent upon us the rain! So make it abundant, beneficial and
blessed for us!
وَ اخْتِمْ لَنَا بِالْخَيْرِ يَا ذَا الْفَضْلِ وَ الْإِحْسَانِ
wākhtim lanā bi-l khayri Yā dhā-l Fadli wa-l Ihsān.
And grant
us a good ending O Most Graceful and Generous One!
وَ ارْقَعْ لَنَا كُلَّ مَا خَرَقْنَا وَ رُمَّ لَنَا كُلَّ مَا
أَفْسَدْنَا
wārqa'a lanā kulla mā kharaqnā wa rumma lanā kulla mā afsadnā.
And mend for us all that we have damaged! And fix for us all that we
have spoilt!
فَإِنَّ الْحَسَنَةَ مِنْكَ وَ السَّيِّئَةَ مِنَّا وَ أَنْتَ الْمُحْسِنُ
إِلَى أَهْلِ الْإِسَاءَةِ وَ أَنْتَ أَهْلٌ لِذَلِكَ
Fa-Inna'l hasanata minka wa-s sayyi'āta minnā wa Anta-l muhsinu ilā ahli-l isā'ati wa Anta ahlun li-dhālika.
For goodness
comes from You while evil comes from us!
And You
are the one who does good to the evil doers, and that is what befits You!
كَمَا أَنَّا الْمُسِيئُونَ إِلَى ذِي الْفَضْلِ وَ الْإِحْسَانِ وَ نَحْنُ
أَهْلٌ لِذَلِكَ
Kamā anā-l musee'ūna ilā dhī-l fadli wa-l ihsāni wa nahnu ahlun li-dhālika
Just as we do bad to the graceful & generous one…and that is what we
are capable of!
فَافْعَلْ بِنَا مَا أَنْتَ أَهْلُهُ وَ لاَ تَفْعَلْ بِنَا مَا نَحْنُ
أَهْلُهُ
Fāf'al binā mā Anta ahluhu wa lā taf'al binā mā nahnu ahluhu.
So deal with us as befits You! And do not deal with us as we deserve!
لَآ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ أَنْتَ عَلَيْكَ تَوَكَلْنَا وَ أَنْتَ رَبُّ الْعَرْشِ
الْعَظِيْمِ
Lā Ilāha Ilā Anta, 'alayka tawakkalnā wa Anta Rabbu-l 'Arshi-l 'Azeem.
There is no God but You! On You we rely and You are the Lord of the
great throne!
مَا شَاءَ اللَّهُ كَانَ وَ ما لَمْ يَشَأْ لَمْ يَكُنْ
māshā'a-llahu kāna wa mā lam yasha' lam yakun.
Whatever Allah wishes happens & whatever He does not wish, does not
happen!
أَعْلَمُ أَنَّ اللَّهَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيْرٌ وَ أَنَّ اللَّهَ
قَدْ أَحَاطَ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ عِلْمًا
a'alamu anna-llaha 'alā kulli shay'in qadeerun wa anna-llah qad ahāta bi-kulli shay'in 'ilmān.
I recognize that Allah has power over all matters & He has full knowledge
of all things!
يَا مُمْسِكَ السَّمَاءِ أَنْ تَقَعَ عَلَى الْأَرْضِ إِلاَّ بِإِذْنِهِ
Yā mumsika-s samā'i an taqa'a 'alā-l ardi illā bi-idhnihi.
O Who holds the Skies from falling upon the Earth…except by His
permission!
فَإِنَّا الْأُمَنَاءُ تَحْتَ ظِلِّ رَحْمَتِكَ الْخَائِفُونَ مِنْ
ذُنُوبِنَا
Fa-Innā'l umanā'u tahta zilli rahmatika-l khā'ifūna min dhunūbinā.
We are safe under the shade of Your Mercy! But we fear our sins!
فَحَقِّقْ لَنَا الْأَمْنَ دَوَامًا أَبَدًا سَرْمَدًا إِلَی يَوْمِ
الدِّينِ إِلَی أبَدِ الْأَبَدِ
Fa haqqiq lanā-l amna dawāmān abadān sarmadān ilā yaumi-d deen ilā abadi-l abadi.
So grant
us eternal safety! Forever and never-ending
Till the day of Reckoning and beyond.
Everlasting!
وَ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَى سَيِّدِنَا مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِهِ وَ صَحْبِهِ وَ سَلَّمَ
تَسْلِيمًا
wa salā-llahu 'alā sayyidinā Muhammadin wa ālihi wa sahbihi wa sallama taslīmā.
And may
Allah bless our master Muhammad & his family and companions
And send
His complete peace upon them!
