THE BIRTH CERTIFICATE OF SHAYKH HASSAN CISSE
This Note was written by Sayyidi Ali Cisse at the birth of his son Hasan
الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ حَمْداً يُكافِيءُ مَزِيدَهُ وَ يُوَافِي نِعَمَهُ وَ الصَّلَاَةُ وَ السَّلَامُ عَلَى أَوَّلِ مَنْ وَحَّدَهُ وَ حَمِدَهُ. وَ بَعْدُ فَقَدْ وُلِدَ لِي مَوْلُودٌ لَيْلَةَ الأَرْبِعَاءِ فِي السَّاعَةِ الْعَاشِرَةِ، التَّاسِعَةِ وَ الْعَشْريْنِ مِنْ ذِي الْحِجَّةِ الْجَارِيِّ ١٣٦٤ بِمَدِينَةِ كَوْلَخ. وَ سَمَّاهُ شَيْخُنَا رضي الله عنه تَذْكرَةً بِوَالِدِي – الْحَسَنْ - وَ بِالسِّبْطِ.فَاللهُ يُوَرِّثُهُ مِنْ بَرَكَاتِهِمَا مَا تُقِرُّ بِهِ عُيُونُنَا وَ يَكُونُ مُبَارَكاً مَرْضِيًّا حَافِظاً عَالِماً عَامِلاً عَارِفاً كَامِلاً وَلِيّاً مَحْفُوظاً مَحْمُودًا مَنْصُوراً مَقْبُولاً مَحْبُوباً مَرْزُوقاً مُيَسَّراً مُنَعَّماً مُكَرَّماً عَابِداً زَاهِداً وَرِعاً مُقْبِلاً عَلَى اللهِ. وَ وَالِدَةُ الْحسَنِ هَذَا فَاطِمَةُ الزَّهْرَاءِ بِنْتِ شَيْخِنَا وَ بِضْعَتُهُ الزَّكِيَّةُ الْمَرْضِيَّةُ الصَّالِحَةُ التَّقِيَّةُ النَّقِيَّةُ وَ نَرْجُوا مِنَ اللهِ أَنْ يَظْهَرَ فِينَا بَرَكَةَ الزَّهْرَاءِ وَ عَلِيّ وَ ابْنَيْهِمَا الْحَسَنِ وَ الْحسَيْنِ وَ جَدِّهِمَا صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَ سَلَّمَ. وَ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ عَلَى هَذَا الْوَلَدِ بَارَكَ اللهَ فِيهِ وَ عَلَيْهِ.وَ قَدْ قَرأْتُ الْفَاتِحَةَ عَشْرَ مَرَّاتٍ بِنِيَّة الشُّكْرِ لِلَّهِ لَمَّا وُلَدِ هَذَا الْمَوْلُودُ حَيْثُ رَزَقَنِيَ اللهُ وَلَدًا مِنْ شَيْخِنَا إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَ مِنْ شَيْخِنَا الْحَاجِّ عَبْدِاللَّهِ رضي الله عنه.وَ نَرْجُوا مِنَ اللهِ وَ مِنْ بَرَكَةِ هَؤُلَآءِ أَنْ يَكُونَ الْوَلَدُ مُبَارَكاً فِي الْحِسِّ وَ الْمَعْنَى وَ الْحَمْدُ لله أَوَّلاً وَ آخِراً وَ ظَاهِراً وَ بَاطِناً.
Praise be to Allah! A praise that will gain us more blessings from Him! And a praise that will cover all His blessings! And blessings & peace be upon the first to proclaim His Oneness and praise Him!
Thereafter (I say), a child was born to me on Wednesday night at 10 O’clock on the 29th of Dhu ’l-Hijjah in the year 1364, in the town of Kaolack. And our Shaykh (Ibrahim), may Allah be pleased with him, named him Hasan, in memory of my father and of the (Prophetic) grandson.
So may Allah grant him from the Barakah of these two, that which will cool our eyes, and make him blessed & pleasing, a memorizer of the Holy Qur’an, a practicing scholar, a complete knower (of Allah), a protected saint, praiseworthy & victorious, well-accepted & beloved, well-provided for, always in comfort & honor, a worshipper, detached from this world, one most scrupulous and always focused towards Allah!
And the mother of this child is Fatimah al-Zahra, the daughter of our Shaykh, and a pure, pleasing, pious, God-fearing & untainted piece of him. We hope from Allah that the Barakah of (Fatimah) al-Zahra & Ali, and their sons Hasan & Husayn, and their Grandfather (SAW) appears amongst us!
So praise be to Allah for this child! I recited Surah al-Fatihah 10 times with the intention of thanks to Allah, when this child was born, as He granted me a child from our Shaykh Ibrahim and our Shaykh al-Hajj Abd-Allahi (Niasse), may Allah be pleased with him. We hope from Allah, and by the Barakah of these men, that this child be blessed, materially & spiritually.
And all praise be for to Allah, firstly & lastly, outwardly & inwardly!
