(From his Diwan Sayr al-Qalb: Harf al-Mim)

مَدِينَةُ
مَاحِي الْكُفْرِ وَ الْعَارِ وَ الرِّجْسِ
مَدَى الدَّهْرِ
فِيهَا قُرَّةُ الْعَيْنِ وَ النَّفْسِ
O City of the Mahy
(Wiper) of disbelief, obscenity & immorality…(SAW)!
In you is the coolness
of my eyes, now & forever!
تَذَكَّرْتُهَا
وَ الْحَالُ أَنِّي مُخَيِّمٌ
بِبَارِيسَ
أَنْحُوهَا لِأَمْحُو بِهَا رِجْسِي
I remember it while I
am residing in Paris…
Seeking a path to it,
so that I may cleanse myself of all dirt!
أَرَانِى
إِذَا مَا جِئْتُ طَيْبَةَ زَائِراً
يُقَرِّبُنِى
قُرْباً يَتِمُّ بِهِ أُنْسِي
So that - when I
arrive for my visit to Taybah (Madinah) -
he (SAW) may embrace
me in a closeness that will complete my joy!
أَأَكْرَمَ
خَلْقِ اللَّهِ أَحْمَدَ مَا تَرَى
لِزَوْرٍ
خَلاَ مِنْ كُلِّ مَعْنًى وَ مِنْ حِسِّ
O Most Generous of all
Creation O Ahmad! What do you pronounce…
To an (emotional) visitor
at loss of all meaning and feeling!
وَ إِنَّكَ
مُخْتَارُ الْإِلَهِ وَ مَلْجَأُ
الْعَوَالِمِ
مِنْ جِنٍّ خَفِيٍّ وَ مِنْ إِنْسِ
For you’re God’s
Chosen One! And you’re the refuge…
of all creation; the Humans
& the hidden Jinns!
عَظِيمٌ
عَظِيمُ الْخُلْقِ وَالْجُودِ وَالْعَطَا
بِهِ
زَالَ هَمِّي ثُمَّ كَسْرِي كَذَا بُؤْسِي
He (SAW) is the great
one! Great in character, generosity & grants!
Through him, all my
worries, humiliations & suffering has been removed!
وَ إِنْ
دَهِشَ الْأَقْطَابُ يَوْماً بِمَشْهَدٍ
أَرَاهُ فَيُعْلِينِى إِلَى أَعْظَمِ الْكُرْسِي
And may all the Great
Saints be dazzled when they see…
him (SAW) raising me
to the highest seat (of sainthood)!
وَهَبْتَ
لِكُلِّ الْمَادِحِينَ شَفَاعَةً
وَ هَلْ يَقْبَلُ الْمَحْمُودُ تَشْفِيعَهُمْ
لَيْسِي
You have granted your
intercession to your all praisers!
So will the Praised One
(SAW) intercede for them all…but not me?!
عَلَى
عِوَجِى أَرْجُو عُمُومَ شَفَاعَةِ
الْأَمِينِ
لِمَنْ يَهْوَى الْعُبَيْدَ مِنَ الْإِنْسِ
Despite my flaws, I
seek the intercession of the Trusted One (SAW)
(for me and)
for all those who love this servant as well!
عَلَيْكَ
صَلاَةُ اللَّهِ ثُمَّ سَلاَمُهُ
فَأَمْرُكَ مَقْبُولٌ عَلَى الْعَيْنِ وَ الرَّاْسِ
May the blessing &
salutation of Allah be upon you!
And your command will
always be wholeheartedly accepted by us!
دَعَوْتَ
اِلَى التَّوْحِيدِ لِلَّهِ وَحْدَهُ
فَكُلٌّ سِوَاهُ فِى انْمِحَاءٍ وَ فِى طَمْسِ
For you called towards
the Oneness of Allah, the One & Only!
Indeed, all besides
Him is vanishing and vanquished!
هُوَ الْكُلُّ
مِنْهُ الْكُلُّ لاَ رَبَّ غَيْرُهُ
فَمَا ثَمَّ
مِنْ كُفْؤٍ وَ لاَ ثَمَّ مِنْ عَكْسِ
He is everything &
from Him is everything! There’s no Lord but Him!
There’s No equal to
Him nor any Counterpart!
عَلَيْكَ
صَلاَةُ اللَّهِ ثُمَّ سَلاَمُهُ
تُحَرِّرُنَا مِنْ كُلِّ بَطْشٍ وَ مِنْ حَبْسِ
May the blessing &
salutation of Allah be upon you!
Such that will free us
from all oppression and enslavement!
عَلَيْكَ
صَلاَةُ اللَّهِ ثُمَّ سَلاَمُهُ
لِاُصْبِحَ مَيْمُوناً حَيَاتِي كَذَا أُمْسِي
May the blessing &
salutation of Allah be upon you!
And may I be blest
throughout my life & beyond!
عَلَيْكَ
صَلاَةُ اللَّهِ ثُمَّ سَلاَمُهُ
تَجَافَيْتُ
عَنْ أَهْلِي وَ صَحْبِي وَ عَنْ جِنْسِي
May the blessing &
salutation of Allah be upon you!
I’ve departed my
family, companions & countrymen (in your love)!
عَلَيْكَ
صَلاَةُ اللَّهِ ثُمَّ سَلاَمُهُ
يَتِمُّ الشِّفَا مِنْ كُلِّ بَأْسٍ وَ مِنْ طَمْسِ
May the blessing &
salutation of Allah be upon you!
And may I be healed
from all illness & harm!
عَلَيْكَ
صَلاَةُ اللَّهِ ثُمَّ سَلاَمُهُ
سَرَيْنَا
وَ وَافَيْنَاكَ خَيْرَ بَنِى حُمْسِ
May the blessing &
salutation of Allah be upon you!
We journeyed &
arrived in your court O Best of Bani Hums (Quraysh)!
عَلَيْكَ
صَلاَةُ اللَّهِ ثُمَّ سَلاَمُهُ
فَمِنْكَ عِلاَجِي مَرْهَمَ الْقَلْبِ
وَالنَّفْسِ
May the blessing &
salutation of Allah be upon you!
With you is my cure…and
the balm of my heart & self!
عَلَيْكَ
صَلاَةُ اللَّهِ ثُمَّ سَلاَمُهُ
اُحِبُّكَ حُبّاً لاَ يَزَالُ اِلَى الرَّمْسِ
May the blessing &
salutation of Allah be upon you!
I love you a love that
will go with me to my grave!
عَلَيْكَ
صَلاَةُ اللَّهِ ثُمَّ سَلاَمُهُ
فَكُلِّي لِخَيْرِ الْخَلْقِ فِى الْيَوْمِ
وَالْأَمْسِ
May the blessing &
salutation of Allah be upon you!
And the whole of me
belongs to the Best of Creation! Yesterday & today!!
عَلَيْكَ
صَلاَةُ اللَّهِ ثُمَّ سَلاَمُهُ
فَبُرْهَانُ حُبِّي فِيكَ أَوْضَحُ مِنْ شَمْسِ
May the blessing &
salutation of Allah be upon you!
And the proof of my
love for you is clearer than the Sun!
عَلَيْكَ
صَلاَةُ اللَّهِ ثُمَّ سَلاَمُهُ
وَ تَطْرُدُ اِشْكُولَ اللَّعِينَ مِنَ
الْقُدْسِ
May the blessing &
salutation of Allah be upon you!
And may you eliminate
the accursed (Zionist) Eshkol from Jerusalem!
عَلَيْكَ
صَلاَةُ اللَّهِ ثُمَّ سَلاَمُهُ
وَ تَسْتَأْصِلُ الْخُبْثَ الْيَهُودَ مِنَ
الْاُسِّ
May the blessing &
salutation of Allah be upon you!
And may you completely
destroy the evil ones of the Jews!
وَ تُهْلِكُ
دَجَّالَ الْيَهُودِ وَ تُهْلِكَنْ
إِبَاناً وَ دَيَاناً فَيَكْمُلُ لِي أُنْسِي
And may you destroy
the imposter of the Jews!
And destroy Eban &
Dayan (Zionist leaders)! So that my joy is complete!
لِتُهْلِكْ
اُجُوكُو قَبْلَهُمْ وَ تُنِيلُنَا
بِفَضْلِكَ نَصْراً شَامِلاً مُثْمِرَ الْغَرْسِ
And may you destroy
(Nigerian anti-Muslim leader) Ojukwo before them!
And grant us a
complete & fruitful victory by Your Grace!
عَلَيْكَ
صَلاَةُ اللَّهِ ثُمَّ سَلاَمُهُ
أَتَيْنَا لِكَشْفِ الْكَرْبِ وَالْهَمِّ
وَاللَّبْسِ
May the blessing &
salutation of Allah be upon you!
We have come (to you)
for the removal of our difficulties, worries & confusions!
عَلَيْكَ
صَلاَةُ اللَّهِ ثُمَّ سَلاَمُهُ
وَ آلٍ وَ أَصْحَابٍ ذَوِي الْفَضْلِ وَالْبَأْسِ
May the blessing &
salutation of Allah be upon you!
And upon your Family
& Companions, the noble & brave ones!
عَلَيْكَ
مَدَى الْأَيَّامِ مَا قَالَ خَادِمٌ
مَدِينَةُ
مَاحِي الْكُفْرِ وَالْعَارِ وَالرِّجْسِ
May the blessing and
peace of Allah be upon you!
As long as your
servant sings: O City of the Mahy!
