KHITĀM-ALLAH RIJĀL-ALLAH
A POEM IN PRAISE OF
THE SEAL OF THE SAINTS SHAYKH AHMAD TIJANI (RA)

Ibrahim Niasse (RA) -
خِتَامُ اللّٰهِ رِجَــالُ اللّٰهِ ** بِوَصْفِ اللّٰهِ عُبَيْدُ اللّٰهْ
Khitāmu-llah Rijālu-llah ** Bi-Wasfi-llah ‘Ubaydu-llah
The Seal from Allah…for the Men of Allah!
With the attributes of Allah…the Slave of Allah!
وَ سَاقِي السِّرَّ أَهْلَ اللّٰهْ إِمَامٌ تَـــــــاجُ أَهْلِ اللّٰهِ **
Imamun Tāju Ahli-llah ** Wa sāqī-s sirri Ahli-llah
The Chief & Crown…of
the People of Allah!
And the one who pours
the Secret (of Allah) to the People of Allah!
فَأَعْنِــي شَيْخَ
أَشْيَاخِي ** أَبَـا الْعَبَّاسِ سِرَّ
اللّٰهْ
Fa-a‘anī Shaykha Ashyākhī ** Abā-l ‘Abbāsi Sirra-llah
I mean the Shaykh of
my Shaykhs!
Abul-Abbas…the Secret
of Allah!
فَشَأْنُ الْحَقِّ رَمْزُ الْكَوْنِ ** فَيْضُ اللّٰهِ عَوْنُ اللّٰهْ
Fa-sha'nu-l haqqi Ramzu-l Kaun ** Faydu-llah ‘Aynu-llah
For he is an Affair of
Allah…the Icon of Existence!
A Manifestation from
Allah! An Aid from Allah!
سَلِيلُ الْمُصْطَفَى حَقًّا ** وَ هَـٰذَا خَيْرُ خَلْقِ اللّٰهْ
Saleelu-l Mustafā Haqqān ** Wa hādhā khayru khalqi-llah
The descendant of the
Chosen Prophet indeed!
Who was the Best of
the creation of Allah!
فَيَا بُشْرَى بِهَـٰذَا الشَّيْخِ ** هَـذَا الْعَبْدُ يُثْنِـــــي اللّٰهْ
Fa-Yā Bushra bi-hādhā-sh Shaykh ** Hādhā-l ‘Abdu yuthnī-llah
Glad tidings (to us) for having this Shaykh!
This servant thanks
Allah (for this bounty)!
بِمَا أَوْلَـى وَ مَا
أَعْطَــى ** فَحَـقُّ الْعَبْدِ شُكْـــرُ اللّٰهْ
Bimā awla wamā a‘atā ** fa-Haqqu-l ‘Abdi Shukru-llah
I thank Him for all He
has gifted & granted!
For it’s the servant’s
duty to thank Allah!
أَيَا شَيْخِي تَذَكَّرْ عَبْــدًا ** قَدْ أَضَاعَ حَــــقَّ اللّٰهْ
Ayā Shaykhī tadhakkar ‘abdān ** qad adā‘a haqqa-llah
O my master! Remember
a servant…
that has neglected the
rights of Allah!
فَلَمْ أَعْـمَـــلْ بِفَرْضٍ لاَ ** وَ هَا أَرْجُو رِضَاءَ اللّٰهْ
fa-lam a‘amal bi-fardin lā ** wahā arjū ridā'a-llah
Indeed I have
neglected His commands…
And here I am seeking
the pleasure of Allah!
أَشَيْخِـــي خُـــذْ عُبَيْــداً تَا ** هَ فِــي الْقِيعَانِ ، رُوحَ اللّٰهْ
Ashaykhī khudh ‘ubaydān tā ** ha fī-l qī‘ān Rūha-llah
O my master! Rescue a
servant who is lost…
in valleys (of
bewilderment)….O Spirit of Allah!
وَ حَفَّتْهُ لُصُــوصٌ مِنْ ** هَوَى نَفْسٍ تُنَسِّي اللّٰهْ
Wa haffat'hu lusūsun min ** Hawā nafsin tunassī-llah
And who is surrounded
by robbers…
Whims of the
lower-self…that make one forget Allah!
وَ شَيْطَـــــانٍ وَ دُنْيَــاهُ ** أَيَــا لَهْفِــي وَ يَـــا أَللهْ
Wa Shaytāni wa dunyāhu ** Ayā lahfī wa Yā Allah
And the Devil and his Dunya
(the material world)!
O my worry (from all
of that)! I call: O Allah!
فَـــوَا بَرْهَـــامُ نَجْــلُ الْحَا **جِ إِنْ وَافَى جُنُــــــودَ اللّٰهْ
Fawā Bar'hāmu Najlu-l Hā ** ji in wāfā Junūda-llah
So glad-tiding to
Barham, son of al-Hajj (Abdullah)…
If he meets the
soldiers of Allah!
فَـــوَا بَرْهَـــامُ إِنْ يَلْقَــى ** جُنُـــودَ اللّٰهِ حِــــزْبَ اللّٰهْ
Fawā Bar'hāmu in yalqā ** Junūda-llah Hizba-llah
Glad-tiding to Barham
when he encounters…
The soldiers of Allah!
The Party of Allah!
أَبَا الْعَبَّاسِ وَجِّهْ لِــــي ** الَّذِي تَدْرِي حَبِيبَ اللّٰهْ
Abā-l ‘Abbāsi wa jjih-lī ** Ladhī tadrī Habeeba-llah
O Abul-Abbas! Turn
towards me…
The one who is…the
Beloved of Allah (SAW)!
أَبَا الْعَبَّاسِ فَاذْكُرْنِــــــي ** لَدَى الْحَضَرَاتِ عِنْدَ اللّٰهْ
Abā-l ‘Abbāsi fadhkurnī ** ladā-l Hadrāti ‘inda-llah
O Abul-Abbas! Remember
me…
In the Holy
Presences…of Allah!
أَبَـــا الْعَبَّـــاسِ جَازِنِــي ** كَمَا يُعْطِى رِجَالُ اللّٰهْ
Abā-l ‘Abbāsi Jazinī ** Kamā yu‘utī Rijālu-llah
O Abul-Abbas! Grant
me…
As grant…the Men of
Allah!
أَبَا الْعَبَّاسِ مَيِّزْنِــي ** بِمَا تَدْرِي بِحَقِّ اللّٰهْ
Abā-l ‘Abbāsi mayyiznī ** bimā tadrī bi-Haqqi-llah
O Abul-Abbas! Distinguish
me…
As you determine…for the Sake of Allah!
أَبَا الْعَبَّاسِ أَلْحِقْ بِي ** وَ دَارِكْنِي بِفَضْلِ اللّٰهْ
Abā-l ‘Abbāsi Al-Hiqbī ** wa dāriknī bi-fadli-llah
O Abul-Abbas! Rescue
me…
And save me…by the
Grace of Allah!
هَـٰذَا الْعَبْدُ عَبْدُاللّٰه وَلاَ يَكْفِي قَلِيلُ الْحَظِّ **
Walā yakfī qaleelu-l hazzi ** hādhā-l ‘abdu ‘Abdu-llah
For this unfortunate
slave cannot be satiated!
For he is after all…a
slave of Allah!
أَبَا الْعَبَّاسِ فَانْظِمْنِـــي ** وَ أَصْحَابِي بِحِزْبِ اللّٰهْ
Abā-l ‘Abbāsi fa-nzimnī ** wa as'hābī bi-hizbi-llah
O Abul-Abbas! Enlist
me…
And my disciples…in
the party of Allah!
أَبَا الْعَبَّاسِ تُغْنِينِي ** وَ تَكْفِينِي بِإِذْنِ اللّٰهْ
Abā-l ‘Abbāsi tughnīnī ** wa takfīnī bi-Idhni-llah
O Abul-Abbas! Enrich
me…
And suffice me…with
the Permission of Allah!
عَلَى الْهَادِي وَ أَصْحَابٍ ** وَ آلٍ خَيْـــــرِ حِزْبِ اللّٰهْ
‘Alā-l Hādī wa As'hābi ** wa Āli khayri Hizbi-llah
Upon the Guide (SAW) and
his Companions…
And His family…the
best party of Allah…
صَلاَةُ اللّٰهِ ، سَلاَمُ اللّٰهِ ** حَيَاةَ اللّٰهِ وَ عَمْرَ اللّٰهْ
Salātu-llah Salāmu-llah ** Hayāta-llah wa ‘Amra-llah
The benedictions of
Allah! The salutations of Allah!
Long as the life of Allah! By the everlasting life of Allah!
