THE DUA AFTER WAZIFAH

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ

In the name of Allah, the most-Merciful the ever-Merciful

اللَّهُمَّ أَنْتَ الْأَوَّلُ فَلَيْسَ قَبْلَكَ شَيْءٌ وَ أَنْتَ الْآخِرُ فَلَيْسَ بَعْدَكَ شَيْءٌ

O Allah, You are the First; for there is nothing before You!

And You are the Last; for there is nothing after You!

و أَنْتَ الظَّاهِرُ فَلَيْسَ فَوْقَكَ شَيْءٌ و أَنْتَ الْبَاطِنُ فَلَيْسَ دُونَكَ شَيْءٌ

And You are the Manifest; for there is nothing above You!

And You are the Hidden; for there is nothing beyond You!

فَكُنْ لَنَا يَا أَوَّلُ يَا آخِرُ يَا ظَاهِرُ يَا بَاطِنُ وَلِيًّا وَ نَصِيْرًا

So be our Guardian & Helper, O First & Last! O Manifest & Hidden!

أَنْتَ وَلِيُّنَا وَ مَوْلَانَا فَنِعْمَ الْمَوْلَى وَ نِعْمَ النَّصِيرُ

Indeed, You are our Guardian & Supporter!

So what an Excellent Guardian & Supporter You are!

اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّا نَسْأَلُكَ بِفَاتِحِيَّةِ الْفَاتِحِ الْفَتْحَ التَّامَّ

O Allah, we ask You by the Opening of the Opener that You grant us a perfect Opening!

و بِخَاتِمِيَّةِ الْخَاتِمِ حُسْنَ الْخِتَامِ

And by the Closing of the Closer, that You grant us a perfect Closing!

اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّا نَسْأَلُكَ مِنَ الْخَيْرِ كُلِّهِ عَاجِلِهِ وَ آجِلِهِ مَا عِلمْنَا مِنْهُ و ماَ لَمْ نَعْلَمْ

O Allah, we ask You to grant us all good, the immediate & the later!

From that which we know & that which we don't know! 

وَ نَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الشَّرِّ كُلِّهِ عَاجَلِهِ وَ آجِلِهِ مَا عِلَمْنَا مِنْهُ و مَا لَمْ نَعْلَمْ

And we seek Your refuge from all evil, the immediate & the later!

From that which we know & that which we don't know!

اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّا نَسْأَلُكَ الْجَنَّةَ وَ مَا قرَّبَ إِلَيْهَا مِنْ قَوْلٍ وَ عَمَلٍ

O Allah, we ask You for Paradise & all brings us closer to it, from words and actions!

مَا قَرَّبَ إِلَيْهَا مِنْ قَوْلٍ وَ عَمَلٍ وَ نَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ النَّارِ وَ

And we seek refuge in You from the Fire & whatever draws us closer to it from words and actions!

اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّا نَسْأَلُكَ الْعَفْوَ وَالْعَافِيَةَ وَالْمُعَافَاةَ الدَّائِمَةَ فِي الدِّينِ وَالدُّنْيَا وَالْآخِرَةِ

O Allah, we ask You for Your pardon and security…

And complete safety forever, in our Faith, and in this world & the Hereafter!

اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّا نَسْأَلُكَ رِضَاكَ وَ رِضَى نَبِيِّكَ وَ رِضَى الْأَشْيَاخِ وَ رِضَى الْوَالِدَيْنِ

O Allah, we ask You for Your pleasure & the pleasure of Your Prophet (SAW)! And the pleasure of our Shaykhs, and the pleasure of our parents!

اللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْ مَا نُحِبُّ فِيمَا تُحِبُّ

O Allah, make what we desire to be from what You desire!

اللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْ فِي اخْتِيَارِكَ إِخْتِيَارَنَا وَ لَا تَجْعَلْ إِلَّا إِلَيْكَ إِضْطِرَارَنَا

O Allah, make our choice to be Your Choice!

And do not direct our plight to anyone except You!

يَا رَبَّنَا يَا خَالِقَ الْعَوَالِمِ

حُلْ بَيْنَنَا وَ بَيْنَ كُلِّ ظَالِمِ

O Our Lord, the Creator of the Worlds!

 Separate between us & every transgressor! 

وَاجْزِ لِكُلِّ مِنْ إِلَيْنَا أَحْسَنَ

و جَازِهِ عَنَّا الْجَزَاءَ الْأَحْسَنَا

And reward every person that did well to us!

 And compensate them most beautifully on behalf of us!

اللَّهُمَّ ارْفَعْ عَنَّا الْجُهْدَ وَالْجُوعَ وَالْعُرْيَ

O Allah, lift from us all suffering, hunger & poverty

وَاكْشِفْ عَنَّا مِنَ الْبَلَاءِ مَا لَا يَكْشِفُهُ غَيْرُكَ

And remove from us calamities that no one but You can remove! 

رَبَّنَا آتِنَا فِي الدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً وَ فِي الْآخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً وَ قِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ

O Our Lord, grant us good in this world & good in the hereafter, and save us from the torment of the Fire!

رَبَّنَا لَا تُؤَاخِذْنَا إِنْ نَسِينَا أَوْ أَخْطَأْنَا

O Our Lord, punish us not if we forget or fall into error!

رَبَّنَا وَ لَا تَحْمِلْ عَلَيْنَا إِصْرًا كَمَا حَمَلْتَهُ عَلَى اَلَّذِينَ مِنْ قبْلِنَا

And O Our Lord, do not lay on us a burden as You laid on those before us!

رَبَّنَا وَ لَا تُحَمِّلْنَا مَا لَا طَاقَةَ لَنَا بِهِ

O Our Lord, do not put on us a burden greater than we have strength to bear!

وَاعْفُ عَنَّا وَاغْفِرْ لَنَا وَارْحَمْنَا أَنْتَ مَوْلَانَا فَانْصُرْنَا عَلَى الْقَوْمِ الْكَافِرِينَ  

And pardon us, grant us forgiveness & have mercy on us!

You are our Protector! So grant us victory over the disbelieving people!

رَبَّنَا لَا تُزِغْ قُلُوبَنَا بَعْدَ إِذْ هَدَيْتَنَا وَ هَبْ لَنَا مِنْ لَدُنْكَ رَحْمَةً إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ الْوَهَّابُ

O Our Lord, do not let our hearts deviate after You’ve guided us!

And grant us a special mercy from You! Truly, You’re the Bestower of Gifts!

رَبَّنَا إِنَّنَا سَمِعْنَا مُنَادِيًا يُنَادِي لِلْإِيمَانِ أَنْ آمِنُوا بِرَبِّكُمْ فَآمَنَّا

O Our Lord, indeed we heard a caller calling us to faith saying: ‘Believe in your Lord’ so we believed!

رَبَّنَا فَاغْفِرْ لَنَا ذُنُوبَنَا وَ كَفِّرْ عَنَّا سَيِّئَاتِنَا وَ توَفَّنَا مَعَ الْأَبْرَارِ

O Our Lord, so forgive us our sins and expiate from us our bad deeds

And make us die among the righteous ones!

رَبَّنَا وَ آتِنَا مَا وَعَدْتَنَا عَلَى رُسُلِكَ و لَا تُخْزِنَا يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ

O Our Lord, and grant us what You promised us through Your messengers!

And do not disgrace us on the Day of Resurrection!

إِنَّكَ لَا تُخْلِفُ الْمِيعَادَ

For You never break (Your) promise!

رَبَّنَا ظَلَمْنَا أَنْفُسَنَا وَ إِنْ لَمْ تَغْفِرْ لَنَا وَ تَرْحَمْنَا لَنَكُونَنَّ مِنَ الْخَاسِرِينَ

O Our Lord, we have wronged our souls, and if you do not forgive us & bestow Your mercy upon us, we shall certainly be among the losers!

رَبَّنَا آتِنَا مِنْ لَدُنْكَ رَحْمَةً وَ هَيِّءْ لَنَا مِنْ أَمْرِنَا رَشَدًا

O Our Lord, bestow on us a special Mercy from Yourself

And facilitate for us our affairs in a righteous way!

رَبَّنَا هَبْ لَنَا مِنْ أَزْوَاجِنَا وَ ذُرِّيَاتِنَا قُرَّةَ أَعْيُنٍ وَاجْعَلْنَا لِلْمُتَّقِينَ إِمَامًا

O Our Lord, make our spouses & our offspring the comfort for our eyes!

And make us leaders of the pious ones!

اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِحَيِّنَا وَ مَيِّتِنَا وَ كَبِيرِنَا وَ صَغِيرِنَا وَ ذَكَرِنَا وَ أُنْثَانَا

O Allah, forgive our living & our dead, our old & our young,

 And our males &our females!

وَ حَاضِرِنَا وَ غَائِبِنَا وَ حُرِّنَا وَ عَبْدِنَا وَ طَائِعِنَا وَ عَاصِينَا 

And our present & our absent ones, our free & our enslaved ones,

And the obedient & the disobedient amongst us! 

اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى سَيِّدِنَا مُحَمَّدٍ الْفَاتِحِ لِمَا أُغْلِقَ وَالْخَاتِمِ لِمَا سَبَقَ

نَاصِرِ الْحَقِّ بِالْحَقِّ وَالهَادِي إِلَى صِرَاطِكَ الْمُسْتَقِيمِ

وَ عَلَى آلِهِ حَقَّ قَدْرِهِ وَ مِقْدَارِهِ الْعَظِيمِ 

O Allah, send your blessing be upon our master Muhammad, the Opener of what is closed and the closer of what was before, the Helper of the truth with the Truth, and the Guide to Your straight path, and upon his family, in accordance with his status and great capacity! 

سُبْحَانَ رَبِّكَ رَبِّ الْعِزَّةِ عَمَّا يَصِفُونَ

وَ سَلَامٌ عَلَى الْمُرْسَلِينَ

وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ 

Glory be to your Lord, the Lord of Honour & Power! (He is free) from what they ascribe (to Him)! And Peace be upon the Messengers!

And praise be to Allah, the Lord & Cherisher of the Worlds! 

مِينآمِين آمِين آ
