MESSENGER OF OUR LORD! COME TO MY AID! رسول إله العالمين تعالى

رَسُولَ
إِلَهِ الْعَالَمِينَ تَعَالَى
خَدِيمُكَ
نَادَى يَا رَسُولُ تَعَالَى
Messenger
of the Lord of the Worlds, Most High!
Your
servant calls you: O Rasul come (to my aid)!

خَدِيمُكَ
نَادَى يَا رَسُولُ فَلَا أُرَى
فَقِيرًا
إِلَى غَيْرِ الْإِلَهِ تَعَالَى
Khadīmuka nādā Yā Rasūlu falā urā = faqīrān ilā ghayri-l Ilāhi ta’ālā
Your
servant calls you O Rasul! For may I never be seen…
as
needy of anyone but our Lord Most High!

خَديمٌ
بِأَقْصَى الْغَرْبِ يَدْعُو مُحَمَّدًا
وَ
لَيْسَ يَرَى غَيْرَ الرَّسُولِ ثِمَالًا
Khadīmun bi aqsā-l gharbi yad’ū Muhammadān = walaysa yarā ghayra-r Rasūli thimālā
A
servant from the farthest west (Senegal) calls upon Muhammad (SAW)!
And
sees his refuge in no one but the Rasul!

خَديمٌ
ثَوَى بِالْبَابِ وَ هْوَ مُؤَمِّلٌ
إِيَابًا
كَرِيمًا وَ هْوَ جَيْرِ أَطَالَا
Khadīmun thawā bi-l bābi wahwa mu’amilun = Iyābān karīmān wahwa jayri atālā
A
servant who lies at your Door and hopes…
An
honourable return, after a long stay!

تَصَاغَرَ
عِنْدِي غَيْرُ أَحْمَدَ إِنَّنِي
أُرَجِّي مِنَ الْهَادِي الْعِبَادِ مَنَالَا
Tasāghara ‘indī ghayru Ahmada innanī = urajī mina-l Hādī-l ‘ibādi manālā
All others besides Ahmad (SAW) have become small in my eyes!
For I seek my bounty from the Guide of all Mankind (SAW)!

كَرِيمَ
السَّجَايَا وَاسِعَ الْجُودِ مَا تَرَى
كَرِيمٍ قَدْ أَجَادَ مَقَالَا لِضَيْفِ
What will you grant to the guest of the Generous One! (A guest) who excels
in praising you!
*
فَهَبْهُ
عَلَى مِقْدَارِ كَفِّكَ مُصْطَفَى
الْبَرَايَا
عَطَاءً لَا يَخَافُ زَوَالَا
Fahab’u ‘alā miqdāri kaffika mustafā =..l-barāyā ‘atā’an lā yakhāfu zawālā
So grant him according to the (bountiful) capacity of your (bountiful)
hand!
O Chosen One from all People! Grant me a bounty that will never end!

فَفِي
كُلِّ حَيٍّ قَدْ خَبَطْتَ بِنِعْمَةٍ
و
إِنِّي كَشَاسٍ قَدْ أَرُومُ نَوَالَا
Fafī kulli hayyin qad khabat-ta bi-ni‘imatin = wa innī kashāshin was arūmu nawālā
For indeed, your bounties have been granted to all nations!
And like Shas (a famous Arab warrior pardoned by a kind King)
I also seek it today!

عَلَيْكَ
صَلَاةُ اللَّهِ ثُمَّ سَلَامُهُ
و تَشْمَلُ أَصْحَابَ النَّبِيِّ وَ آلَا
‘Alayka salātuLlahi thumma salāmuhu = watashmalu as’hāba-n Nabiyyi wa Alā
May the Blessing & Salutations of Allah be upon you!
And may it include your Companions & your Family!
