- A Prayer by Sahib al-Faydah Shaykh Ibrahim Niasse (RA) -
اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ بِمَا وَارَتْهُ الْحَقِيقَةُ الْمُحَمَّدِيَّةُاللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ بِمَا وَارَتْهُ الْحَقِيقَةُ الْمُحَمَّدِيَّةُ وَبِالْحَقِيقَةِ الْمُحَمَّدِيَّةِ وَبِسِرِّهَا الْمَكْتُومِ وَ بِسِرِّ سِرِّهَا
Allāhumma
innī as’aluka bi-mā wārat’hu-l ḥaqīqatu-l Muḥammadiyyah wa bi-l ḥaqīqati-l Muḥammadiyyah
wa bi-sirrihā-l maktūmi wa bi-sirri sirrihā.
O Allah! I
ask you by what is veiled by the Muhammadan Reality, and by the Muhammadan
Reality, and by its Concealed Secret, and by the Secret of its Secret!
*
أَنْ تَأْخُذَ بِأَيْدِينَا وَتُوقِفَنَا أَبَدًا سَرْمَدًا بَيْنَ يَدَيْكَ وَقْفَةً خَالِصَةً
An
ta’khudha bi-aydīnā wa tūqifanā abadān sarmadān bayna yadayka waqfatan khāliṣatan.
That you
take our hands and make us stand always and forever in Your Presence with
complete sincerity & devotion!
*
وَتَبْسُطَ عَلَيْنَا أَرْدِيَةَ آلَائِكَ السَّوَابِغِ وَتَرْزُقَنَا مَعِيَّتَكَ الْخَاصَّةِ
بِالْمُتَّقِينَ الْمُحْسِنِينَ
Wa tabsuṭa ‘alaynā ardiyata ālā’ika-s sawābighi wa tarzuqanā ma‘iyyataka-l khāṣṣati bi-l muttaqīna-l muḥsinīn.
And spread
upon us the garments of your abundant favours, and grant us Your Special
Companionship granted to those who are conscious of You and do good!
*
وَ تُفِيضَ عَلَيْنَا بُحُورَ عُلُومِكَ
وَأَسْرَارِكَ
وَ تَفْتَحَ عَلَيْنَا بَرَكَاتِ السَّمَاءِ وَالْأَرْضِ
Wa
tufīḍa ‘alaynā buḥūra ‘ulūmika wa asrārika wa taftaḥa ‘alaynā barakāti-s samā’i
wa-l arḍ.
And pour
upon us the oceans of Your sciences and secrets
And
open upon us the blessings of the
Heavens and the Earth !
*
وَتَرْقَعَ لَنَا كُلَّ خَرْقٍ يَا مَنْ أَظْهَرَ الْجَمِيلَ وَسَتَرَ
الْقَبِيحَ
وَ تَكُفَّ عَنَّا كُلَّ كَفٍّ ضَائِمَةٍ
Wa
tarqa‘a lanā kulla kharqin, yā man aẓ’hara-l jamīla wa satara-l qabīḥaa, wa
takuffa ‘annā kulla kaffin ḍā’imatin.
And patch
for us every hole! O You who manifests beauty and covers
ugliness!
And
protect us from every harmful hand!
*
وَ تُسَخِّرَ لَنَا جَمِيعَ مَمْلَكَتِكَ بِكَ وَتُحَبِّبْنَا إِلَى
جَمِيعِ خَلْقِكَ
وَ تُحْبِبْ إلَيْنَا صَالِحِيهِمْ
Wa
tusakh’khira lanā jamī‘a mamlakatika bika wa tuḥabbibanā ilā jamī‘i khalqika wa
tuḥbib ilaynā ṣāliḥīhim.
And avail
for us Your entire kingdom by Your power, and make us beloved to all Your
creation, and make beloved to us the pious ones amongst them!
*
وَتَنْظُرَ إِلَى أَعْمَالِنَا وَأَحْوَالِنَا
وَحَرَكَاتِنَا وَسَكَنَاتِنَا بِعَيْنِ الرِّضَىٰ وَالْقَبُولِ
وَ تَحُفَّنَا بِعِنَايَتِكَ
Wa
tanẓura ilā a‘amālinā wa aḥwālinā wa ḥarakātinā wa sakanātinā bi-‘ayni-r riḍā
wa-l qabūl, wa taḥuffanā bi-‘ināyatika.
And look
upon all our actions, states, movements and stillness with the gaze of Your
Pleasure and Acceptance, and cover us with Your Care!
*
وَ تُكْرِمَنَا بِالنَّظَرِ إِلَى جَمَالِكَ الذَّاتِىِّ الْقُدْسِىِّ
وَتُعْطِيَنَا الْكَلِمَةَ وَ التَّكْوِينَ وَتَجْمَعَ لَنَا جَمِيعَ خَيْرَاتِ
الدُّنْيَا وَالْآخِرَةِ
Wa tukrimanā bi-n naẓari ilā jamālika-dh dhātiyyi-l qudsiyyi wa
tu‘ṭiyanā-l kalimata wa-t takwīna wa tajma‘a lanā jami‘a khayrāti-d dunyā wa-l ākhirah.
And honour
us by granting us to view the sacred beauty of Your Divine Being,
and grant
us the word (of authority) and power to execute,
and gather
for us all the blessings of this world and the Hereafter!
*
وَ تَكْفِيَنَا مَا أَهَمَّنَا وَمَا لَمْ
يُهِمَّنَا مِنْ أَمْرِ الدُّنْيَا وَالْآخِرَةِ
Wa
takfiyanā mā ahammanā wa mā lam yuhimmanā min amri-d dunyā wa-l ākhirah.
And suffice
us for all that worries us and does not worry us
from the
affairs of this world and the Hereafter!
*
اَللَّهُمَّ إِنِّى أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْبُعْدِ بَعْدَ القُرْبِ وَ مِنَ
السَّلْبِ بَعْدَ الْعَطَاءِ
وَ مِنْ سُوٓءِ الْقَضَاءِ وَ شَمَاتَةِ الْأَعْدَاءِ
Allāhumma
innī a‘ūdhu bika min al-bu‘udi ba‘ada-l qurbi wa mina-s salbi ba‘ada-l ‘aṭā’i
wa min sū’i-l qaḍā’i wa shamātati-l a‘adā’.
O Allah! I
seek your refuge from distance (from You) after proximity! From deprivation
after reward! And from an unsafe Destiny & the rejoicing of my enemy (by me
suffering)!
*
اَللَّهُمَّ إِنِّى أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ عِلْمٍ لَا يَنْفَعُ وَ قَلْبٍ لَا
يَخْشَعُ
وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ فَقْرِ الدُّنْيَا وَعَذَابِ الْآخِرَةِ
Allāhumma
innī a‘ūdhu bika min ‘ilmin lā yanfa‘u wa qalbin lā yakhsha‘u wa a‘ūdhu bika
min faqri-d dunyā wa ‘adhābi al-ākhirah.
O Allah! I
seek Your refuge from knowledge that does not benefit & from a heart that
does not submit! And I seek Your refuge from poverty in this world and the
punishment of the Hereafter!
*
وَ أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ غَلَبَةِ الرِّجَالِ وَ أَسْأَلُكَ أَنْ تُقْبِلَ عَلَىَّ
بِوَجْهِكَ الْكَرِيمِ
Wa
a‘ūdhu bika min ghalabati-r rijāli wa as’aluka an tuqbila ‘alayya bi-wajhika-l karīm.
And I seek
Your refuge from being overwhelmed by others, and I ask You to
turn towards me with the Face of Your
Generosity!
*
اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلى سَيِّدِنَا مُحَمَّدٍ الفاتِحِ لِمَا أُغْلِقَ وَ الخاتِمِ
لِمَا سَبَقَ
نَاصِرِ الحَقِّ بِالحَقِّ وَ الهَادِي إلى صِرَاطِكَ المُسْتَقِيمِ
و عَلَى آلِهِ حَقَّ قَدْرِهِ وَ مِقْدَارِهِ العَظِيمِ
Allāhumma ṣalli ‘alā sayyidinā Muḥammadin, al-fātiḥi
limā ughliqa, wa-l khātimi limā sabaqa, nāṣiri-l ḥaqqi bi-l ḥaqqi wa-l hādī ilā
ṣirāṭika-l mustaqīm, wa ‘alā ālihi ḥaqqa qadrihi wa miqdārihi-l ‘aẓīm.
And O Allah! Send Your blessings upon our master
Muhammad! The Opener of what was closed and the Sealer of what preceded him! The
Supporter of the Truth by the Truth and the Guide to Your straight path! And upon
his family too, in accordance with his enormous rank and capacity!
