Assalamu
alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu Shaykhuna!
I have some questions for you:
What acts during wird/wazifa nullify them?
What acts during wird/wazifa nullify them?
Acts such
as breaking your wudu or talking or reciting something else.
Is facing the Qibla a wajib during Dhikr?
No, it is
only highly recommended.
If somebody calls you during the wird/wazifa, how should you act? (e.g.
parents are calling you to dinner).
You may answer your parents only by talking (if
they are unaware of the Adab of Dhikr and will be angry by your
not responding). You may not answer anyone else, except by a gesture to
indicate that you are busy reciting.
Can you
resume your wird/wazifa if you had to interrupt it for some reason?
If it was
a short and valid interruption (such as a few words to a parent or joining
Jama’ah Salah), then you may continue from where you stopped. If it was a long
or unacceptable interruption, then you must start over again.
How to act if you lost your wudu?
You
should start over the whole Dhikr again.
How to act if you lost count?
Continue
from the minimum number that you are sure you recited. After being done with
the Wird or the Wazifah, recite 100 Istighfar as
atonement.
What if you did some more Adhkar then expected e.g. you did the
Salat-ul-Fatih 103 times?
Recite
100 Istighfar as atonement.
Are mistakes like forgetting to say Alayhi Salam-Llah after Muhamadun
Rasul Allah forgiven?
Yes. But
do not become careless with them. Small mistakes become big when done
continously.
Can I do the wird/wazifa sitting on chair?
It is better sitting on the floor as per the Sunnah
of the Habib (SAW) and as an act of humility. Nevertheless, it is allowed
to recite the Wird or the Wazifah sitting on a chair,
except from the 6th Jawharah, when it becomes mandatory to
sit on the floor in honor of the Messenger of Allah (SAW).
Of course, old or sickly persons can recite the
whole thing sitting on a chair. Allah and His Prophet (SAW) have excused them.
Jazakum
Allahu Taala khayran.
Afwan. Know also that there are some differences between
the Ulama of the Tariqah regarding some of these minor issues. I have only
mentioned the more prevalent view as per my knowledge and research. I also take
the practice of Mawlana Sahib al-Faydah (RA) as the final word, for he
had said:
“And this poor Slave is the Door
of Shaykhuna Ahmad al-Tijani (RA).
Whoever I accept, Shaykh Ahmad Tijani accepts, and
whoever I reject, Shaykh Ahmad Tijani rejects”.
wassalam.
Wa Alaykum As-Salam

bin Ahmad al-Tijani
